Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Ajmer - Gateway to Pushkar

Arrive at Ajmer Junction. Visit the sacred Ajmer Sharif Dargah - shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Experience the spiritual atmosphere and qawwali if timing permits. Drive to Pushkar (14 km). Check into lakeside hotel. Evening walk around Pushkar Lake.

Day 2

Pushkar Spiritual Exploration

After breakfast, visit the world's only Brahma Temple. Explore the 52 ghats around Pushkar Lake - take a holy dip if you wish. Visit Old Rangji Temple with South Indian architecture. Afternoon explore the colorful market - handicrafts, jewelry, clothes. Evening attend the mesmerizing aarti ceremony at Pushkar Lake ghats.

Day 3

Savitri Temple & Leisure

Early morning trek or ropeway to Savitri Temple on the hill - stunning panoramic views of Pushkar and surrounding landscape. After breakfast, leisure time - explore cafes, rooftop restaurants, get henna/tattoos, or take a yoga class. Optional: Camel ride around town. Evening free for personal exploration.

Departure

The famous Pushkar Camel Fair is held annually in October-November during Kartik Purnima. Special packages available during this period (book early!).

Is Pushkar vegetarian only?

Yes, Pushkar is a holy town - meat, eggs, and alcohol are not permitted within town limits. Restaurants serve excellent vegetarian and vegan food.

Can we combine this with Jaipur?

Amazing weekend trip! The heritage hotel was absolutely beautiful with authentic Rajasthani decor. Our guide Ramesh ji was incredibly knowledgeable about the history. Amber Fort was breathtaking, especially the Sheesh Mahal. The elephant ride was a highlight for my kids. Highly recommended for families!

This was my first trip to India and it exceeded all expectations! The Taj Mahal at sunrise was absolutely magical. Our guide Vikram was exceptional - so knowledgeable about Indian history. Best tour of our lives! 10 days perfectly covering all of Rajasthan. Each city was unique - from the pink streets of Jaipur to the golden dunes of Jaisalmer. The desert camping night was magical. Perfect weekend escape from Delhi! Everything was well organized - pickup was on time, hotel was fantastic, and the food was delicious. Chokhi Dhani dinner was an amazing experience with folk dances and puppet shows. Great value for money.

If you love history, this tour is a must! Chittorgarh Fort is overwhelming - the scale, the stories, the sacrifices. Walking where Rani Padmavati walked gave me goosebumps. Udaipur was the perfect romantic contrast. Our guide was excellent with historical details.
